“You are worthy, our Lord and God,

For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else. – Isaiah 45:18

Have you shown yourself discouraged in the day of distress? Your power will be scanty. – Proverbs 24:10

How difficult is it to get yourself out of bed or to get yourself fired up when you are down, discouraged or depressed? Your power, your energy is limited when you are feeling down. Accept this as normal but work at changing this condition.

The little one himself will become a thousand, and the small one a mighty nation. I myself, Jehovah, shall speed it up in its own time.” – Isaiah 60:22
The Bible records many instances where the lowly ones, the down-trodden and the widows suffered at the hands of their oppressors. This is not pleasing to our heavenly Father. He has promised to correct this injustice.

All things are lawful; but not all things are advantageous. All things are lawful; but not all things build up. Let each one keep seeking, not his own [advantage], but that of the other person. – 1 Corinthians 10:23,24

“Consequently let him that thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall. No temptation has taken YOU except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let YOU be tempted beyond what YOU can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for YOU to be able to endure it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:12,13

…If anyone among YOU thinks he is wise in this system of things, let him become a fool, that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written: “He catches the wise in their own cunning.” – 1 Corinthians 3:18,19

I planted, A·pol´los watered, but God kept making [it] grow; so that neither is he that plants anything nor is he that waters, but God who makes [it] grow. – 1 Corinthians 3:6,7

“but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame; and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things looked down upon, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are, in order that no flesh might boast in the sight of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

But let our people also learn to maintain fine works so as to meet their pressing needs, that they may not be unfruitful. – Titus 3:14

Above all things, though, my brothers, stop swearing, yes, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath. But let YOUR Yes mean Yes, and YOUR No, No, so that YOU do not fall under judgment. – James 5:12

Know this, my beloved brothers. Every man must be swift about hearing, slow about speaking, slow about wrath; for man’s wrath does not work out God’s righteousness. – James 1:19,20

But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death. – James 1:14,15

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. – 1 Peter 3:11
